Abstract

Biography

Professor Idress Hamad Attitalla is a Libyan academic and researcher specializing in
Molecular Evolution, Molecular Plant Pathology, and Microbiology. With advanced degrees
from both Libyan and Swedish institutions—including a Ph.D. from Uppsala University—he
has built a distinguished career spanning over three decades of teaching, research, and
academic leadership at Omar El-Mukhtar University. His research focuses on microbial
plant interactions, induced disease resistance, fungal identification, aflatoxin
contamination, and herbal medicine. He currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Medical
Technology and has contributed extensively to graduate education, international
conferences, peer-reviewed scientific publishing, and editorial board activities across
international journals.
