Talk : Resourced & Relational: Embodied Parts Integration and Dual Attunement in Collaborative Care for Bodyworkers and Trauma Therapists

Abstract

What becomes possible when we orient ourselves to the inherent health within our client’s nervous system—rather than pathologizing them? What if we began building a “team” to work with so we weren’t working alone? This experiential workshop invites practitioners into a deeper understanding of Embodied Parts Integration through the lens of Dual Attunement and Collaborative Care.
We will explore how attuning not only to our clients, but also to our co-practitioners, can create a powerful field of relational safety that supports nervous system regulation and integrative healing. Emphasis will be placed on resourcing over rescuing—helping clients reconnect to their internal strengths and embodied wholeness. This workshop also invites practitioners to explore building interdisciplinary teams of professionals to support collaborative care in working with survivors of trauma.
Through discussion, dyadic exercises, and case-based reflection, participants will:
â—Ź Learn how to apply Dual Attunement across practitioner collaborations

â—Ź Use grounding and perceiving technique to focus touch work for trauma healing oriented to regulation of the nervous system

â—Ź Develop practical approaches to creating a joint container for collaborative work with other practitioners across disciplines i.e. trauma therapists, acupuncturists, massage, and craniosacral therapists

â—Ź Engage in co-regulatory practices that promote system-wide healing

This workshop is ideal for clinicians, somatic therapists, craniosacral therapists, massage therapists and other integrative practitioners interested in expanding their capacity to work relationally, systemically, and collaboratively.
