Talk : CranioSacralQigong®: A Salutogenic Integration of medical Qigong and Chinese Energetic Medicine with Osteopathic Craniosacral Principles – Nourishing Life (Yangsheng) Insights from the Harvard Osher Center Presentation
Abstract
This presentation introduces CranioSacralQigong® (CSQ) as a contemporary expression of 養生 (Yangsheng) — the classical art of Nourishing Life — that embodies salutogenesis, the science of health creation formalized by Aaron Antonovsky.
CSQ integrates medical Qigong and Chinese Energetic Medicine with osteopathic craniosacral principles, placing the intelligent potency of the craniosacral mechanism as the core link between structure, Qi, and consciousness. At its heart is the Yi Qi Li framework (Mind Intent • Vital Energy • Potentialized Health Intelligence), where dynamic posture serves as gateway, breath regulates Qi flow, and the craniosacral “Breath of Life” potentializes innate healing intelligence.
Presented at Harvard Medical School’s Osher Center (2026), CSQ offers a practical, low-risk, scalable self-care model that cultivates the source of health through Yangsheng principles, enhances coherence and resilience, and proactively reduces the emergence of stress-related and chronic conditions, while honoring traditional master-to-student transmission in medical Qigong.
